Marshal: From Zimbabwe to Tyneside
When Marshal came to Britain in August 2005 he hadn’t seen his mum for 5 years, and didn’t recognise her when she met him at the airport. He had never met his 2 year old sister Michelle, who was born in Britain. Memento joined them in December and Marshal's dad is also now living with them again, after a time studying in London.
The family love being near the sea because, as Zimbabwe is landlocked, they’d never seen it before they came to Britain. They had also never seen snow.
Marshal made a best friend, Carl, as soon as he arrived. They are still inseparable. Marshal loved his school when he first started. He was impressed that the teachers weren't allowed to beat the naughty children!
Marshal is extremely popular, brilliant at football and loves playing Playstation. He is now developing a Geordie accent.
